Precision of light curve amplitudes as a function of redshift for the 5 bands of the LSST deep-drilling-fields survey, assuming a 4 day cadence with the depths from Table 3. At the anticipated depth, the contribution of the y4 band is marginal for distances to SNe. It however provides us with 3 bands within requirements at the highest redshift.
