Measurement uncertainties of fitted amplitudes of SNLS light curves, propagating shot noise. The i-band precision is below 0.03 mag up to z = 1, as well as the r-band up to z ≃ 0.75. SNLS observations rely on thinned CCDs with a low QE in z-band. This band is thus shallow and hence has a small weight in distances to high-redshift events.
