Functions of solar activity are represented by the monthly relative sunspot number (SN), the monthly smoothed relative sunspot number (SSN), and the interplanetary magnetic field strength represented by the IDV index. Ast and Bst denote solar sidereal rotation parameters obtained from selected stable structures. ρ is the (Spearman) rank-order correlation coefficient, b the slope of the straight lines fitted through the set of data points under consideration, Mb is the standard error, and t is the test parameter for statistical significance of ρ.
