Millimeter radiation from a 3D model of the solar atmosphere. II. Chromospheric magnetic field

This study shows a method for measuring magnetic fields in the solar chromosphere using radio data from the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA). This can provide magnetic information not only in active regions of the Sun, but also in more quiet areas, where existing methods provide only limited information on the magnetic fields in the chromosphere.
