FORS2 observations of Luhman 16AB in various bands: V (top left), R (top right), I (bottom left) and z (bottom right). The two components are indicated in the R-band image with an arrow. It is clear from these images that the two components are very red objects. Each image is a very small subset of the full field of view of FORS2, showing only 1.62 × 1.15 arcmin. North is up and east is to the left.
