Evolution of the sTFR zero point with redshift, shown relative to the local calibration of Reyes et al. (2011) along the stellar mass axis. Also plotted are predictions from the EAGLE hydrodynamical simulation (presented in Tiley et al. 2016, the shaded region indicates the rms dispersion of simulated SFGs), the Dutton et al. (2011) semi-analytical model, the empirical model of Übler et al. (2017) along with their measurements on the KMOS3D sample, and the evolution attributed to cosmology. For comparison, we include a compilation of literature measurements (see text), many of which were assembled and reprocessed by Turner et al. (2017). Horizontal error bars indicate the redshift range of our sample while vertical error bars show the fitting uncertainties for each sample.
