Overview of the available rate coefficients for the reaction of NH3 with H3+ and D3+. The present data and the results of Smith & Futrell (1974) are compared with literature values for the H3+ + NH3 reaction from Hemsworth et al. (1974), Kim et al. (1974), Lindinger et al. (1975), Marquette (1989), and Praxmarer et al. (1994). The lines represent the ADO capture rate coefficients and the values in the KIDA and UMIST databases for the H3+ system (see legend).
