Example of two simulated 900 deg2 surveys with four redshift bins, obtained by creating a mosaic of 6 × 6 individual 5 × 5 deg maps, with Gaussian noise and Gaussian smoothing on a R = 4 Mpc/h scale according to Eqs. (4) and (5). Even though the two surveys were obtained for very different cosmologies, the high noise level leads to little visual difference between the two.
