Example galaxy (ID: 2938, z = 1.891). On the left, we show direct image cut-outs of the galaxy in the F200W filter, noting that equivalent cut-outs are also available for the F115W and F150W filters. Upper row: Stacked 2D dispersed spectrum for the galaxy using the GR150R grism, equivalent to dispersing the light along a position angle of 72°. Off-centre contamination from other nearby sources is clearly visible. Middle row: As above, but for the GR150C grism, equivalent to a position angle of 341°. The asymmetric morphology results in a clear difference in the shape of the dispersed spectrum, most noticeably around the emission lines. Bottom row: Extracted 1D spectra from a stack of the two grism orientations. We show also the 1D equivalent spectrum from the contamination in each filter and mark the position of several emission lines. In all panels, the grey shaded regions denote the wavelength range where the filter sensitivity drops to less than 50% of the peak value.
