Notes. Simulation parameters of the boundary layout, gravitational potential (14), and galactic boundary conditions for large-scale and small-scale quantities adopted in this study, or more specifically the HI-80 verification (“HI-base,” Sect. 3.2), its low-mass MHD-turbulent extension (“HI-ext,” Sect. 3.3), and the more realistic analog to NGC 4631 (“N4631,” Sect. 4.1).
