Polarimetric images of the system HD 120326 using VLT/SPHERE at 1.6 μm (broad band H; scattered light; epoch 2018-06-01). We processed the data by using the pipeline IRDAP. From left to right, we show the Stokes vector components pI (intensity), Qϕ (azimuthal or radial polarization), and Uϕ (polarization oriented at ±45° with respect to the azimuth) calibrated in μJy/arcsec2, and the signal-to-noise (S/N) map, which is derived on the basis of the Qϕ and Uϕ images. For these images, as all the ones in this paper: north is up and east is left, while the gray circular mask corresponds to the region within the inner working angle of the coronagraph.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
