Table 3

Recommended values of α for Reaction (8).

Regime α
Thermal 0.33 ± 0.15
Suprathermal (Radiolysis) 1.00
Suprathermal (Chemistry and Photons) 0.40–0.66

Notes. The value of 0.33 for thermal radicals is obtained from the second panel of Fig. 6. The unity value for radiolysis is based on the lack of plateau at 3 Å at high energies (Fig. 6) indicating that non-reactive events come from diffusion out of the reaction center (not covered by the models). The values for chemical and photon energy come from the values at 3 Å of the third, fourth, and fifth panels of Fig. 6. The values collated in this table still do not include possible spin degeneracies, see last paragraph of Sect. 4.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
