Fraction of LBGs aligned with respect to the north-south direction, relative to the QSO, as a function of the local overdensity. We require a galaxy to be aligned if found within ±25° (black, corresponding to 0° −25° or 155° −180°) or ±45° (magenta, corresponding to 0° −45° or 135° −180°) the north-south direction. The shaded area shows the 16th and 84th percentiles of the distribution expected for random samples of 1, 000 bootstrap realizations.
