Example of the PSD-generated coating variation assigned on the GMT primary mirror. We generate a power law with a given index n and then enforce its peak-to-valley variation to be consistent with the ±0.08 nm from van Harten et al. (2009). Varying the PSD index n allows us to parameterize the influence of the aluminum oxide layer on the GMT.
