Notes. Each line represents an individual simulation with the corresponding parameters. Columns include the Mach number, the inner radius of the computational domain, and the radius normalized by the Hoyle-Lyttleton radius, where RHL = 2.155 × 10−5 pc for Mach 1.5 and RHL = 5.177 × 10−7 pc for Mach 10. Thus, RHL is several orders of magnitude smaller than Rmax = 20 pc, making the simulation unaffected by numerical artefacts related to the finite domain size. The second to last column gives the number of grid cells in the radial direction Nr, and the number of grid cells in the polar direction Nθ = 100 is the same for all simulations performed. The last column indicates the figures, in which the simulation data have been used. The final column shows the figures in which the simulation data are presented.
