Stellar mass vs. redshift for our three categories of galaxy. The top and right sidebars show the corresponding number fraction for each category of galaxy. Colored numbers are the number fraction of three categories of galaxy in the corresponding mass and redshift bins, and black numbers are the counts of galaxies in each box. The bold black box illustrates the region of the parameter space we used to build our mass-redshift-matched sample; that is, 109.7 < (M*/M) < 1010.7 and z < 2.
