Three exemplary snapshots of a BAM2 grain aggregate with aeff = 500 nm of a particular rotational disruption simulation with the corresponding number of connection Ncon for the angular velocities of ωagg/ωdisr = 0.1 (top row), ωagg/ωdisr = 0.8 (middle row), andωagg/ωdisr = 1.0 (bottom row). We emphasize that the exemplary grain is identical to the one in the lower right corner of Fig. 1. Left column: Color-coded is the affiliation of the distinct connected fragments. Smaller fragments are arbitrarily colored whereas the most massive fragment is always depicted in blue. Right column: Monomers are colored according to the largest magnitude of the normal force FN exerted from its connected neighbors, where FN > 0 (green) represents pushing forces while FN < 0 (red) are pulling forces, respectively.
