Approximate sidelobe ground pickup as a function of az and el pointing, simulated by convolving a beam (simulated using GRASP) with the horizon profile (shown in gray) at the telescope site. The paths of the three fields across the sky, in half-hour intervals, are shown, as well as the Season 2 elevation limits at 35°–65°. These limits ensure minimal ground pickup gradient across the field paths.
