The unresolved and resolved LSNe Ia in LSST have been compared in terms of their distributions of source redshift (left panel) and lens redshift (right panel). Since unresolved systems can be observed up to larger luminosity distances, they can accommodate larger source redshifts as compared to the resolved ones. Conversely, their smaller angular separations necessitate larger lens redshifts compared to the resolved systems.
