The profiles are calculated for various increasing values of the thickness parameter, β. These values were chosen to smoothly cover the range from β = 0, corresponding to the case of a slender torus (central dot), through values corresponding to closed equipotential structures (i.e. tori), including the limiting case of cusp equipotentials (cusp torus), to the values corresponding to open equipotentials.
