Continuum-divided spectra of Ganymede observed with MIRI and synthetic H2O spectra. Spectra for the leading and trailing sides are shown in red and blue, respectively, with the spectrum of the trailing side shifted vertically. Spaxels for which the solar zenith angle is less than 15° at the center of the spaxel have been averaged. Synthetic spectra are superimposed, with input parameters indicated in the legend (Appendix I) and N(H2O) = 1020 m−2. The Ganymede spectra do not show any hint of H2O lines.
