The optical spectrum shows single-peaked hydrogen Balmer emission lines and a weak He II 4686Å emission line, giving a low line ratio He II/Hβ ≈ 0.12 (see Table B.2). Our analysis, based on optical and X-ray properties, suggests that J0241 is a new CV, likely nonmagnetic (see Sect. B.1 for more details).
