Primary beam corrected flux-density H I emission (in orange) detected by MeerKAT, overlaid with the 2 × 2 degrees DECaLS optical image in the g,r,z filters. The H I emission is an overlay of the flux-density maps extracted from the multi-resolution datacubes (see Sect. 2). The PSFs of the multi-resolution maps varying from 90″ to 7″ are shown in white in the bottom-right corner. The target of the MeerKAT observations, NGC 1566, is marked in orange, sources with previously known H I are marked in white, while new H I detections are marked in green. The doublet of early type galaxies in the centre of the Dorado group is marked in cyan. The newly discovered H I low surface brightness galaxy object of this paper is marked by the red circle.
