Mean free path is shown as a function of layer porosity for uniform layers. Results are displayed for hierarchical layers (BAM2) and layers built out of monomers (Rand). Computational results (markers) and theoretical curves (solid lines) are shown. Different implementations of building a BAM2 aggregate and various numbers of monomers in an aggregate (from 128 to 512) were used for hierarchical layers.
