Data versus model ratio plot obtained from the joint fit of the 13 XMM-Newton spectra of Ark 564 with the phenomenological warm corona model TBABS × (BBODY+NTHCOMP). The BBODY component was removed from the best fitting model in order to show the shape of the soft excess.
