Similar to Fig. 13: median radii for early- and late-type galaxies in our total sample. The error bars correspond to three times the dispersion in the estimated median value. Early-type galaxies are larger in effective radius when M⋆ ≲ 108 M⊙ compared to the late-type galaxies (upper). However, in their edge radii (lower), the early-type galaxies are systematically smaller by ∼20% than the late-type ones across the full stellar mass range.
