Comparison of posterior contours for differently augmented test spectra. In the “rolled” case, a uniform random amount (between 1 and 512 pixels) of cyclic permutation of the pixels is applied to each spectrum in the original test set. An arbitrary 50% of spectra from the original test set are flipped (mirrored) in the “flipped” case. A random mix of both is applied in the “mixed” case. All of the contours carry information equivalent to 100 skewers. A mean (expectation) value of all the posterior distributions is also shown with a cross of the corresponding color. The posterior contours for all the cases agree extremely well with the original test case.
