Generative adversarial framework. There are respective discriminators, D_synth and D_obs, in the synthetic spectra domain and the observed spectra domain. They give the corresponding confidence level for the incoming spectral data. The discriminators try to discriminate the original spectra as zero (i.e. true) and the spectra transferred across the domains as one (i.e. false) during the training process.
