Table 1.

Model parameters.

Parameter Unit Value
Tcen kK 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 35, 40
Ttr kK 100
pcen dyn cm−2 0.01, 0.02, 0.05 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1
ptr dyn cm−2 0.01
Slab width km 45–124 100
M g cm−2 3.7 × 10−8–5.1 × 10−4
H Mm 10, 30, 50
vT km s−1 5, 8, 13
vrad km s−1 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 20 40, 60, 80, 100, 150, 200
γ 0, 2, 4, 5, 10

Notes. We note that not all of these parameters are uniquely combined. Tcen and pcen are the central temperature and pressure, respectively; Ttr and ptr are the temperature and pressure at the edge of the PCTR, respectively; slab width is the width of the slab; M is the column mass; H is the height above the solar surface; vT is the microturbulent velocity; vrad is the velocity of the slab parallel to the normal of the solar surface; and γ is a dimensionless number that dictates the extent of the PCTR. A γ value of zero is mathematically meaningless, and it is simply used as a placeholder to identify isothermal and isobaric models.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
