X-shooter spectra of the four Carina stars (blue) in the region of the Na I doublet, from the most metal poor at the top ([Fe/H] = −3.03) to the most metal rich at the bottom ([Fe/H] = −2.58), and the spectrum of the Sculptor star Scl074_02 (black, at the top) with similar atmospheric parameters ([Fe/H] = −3.0) from Starkenburg et al. (2013).
