Ca II 8542 Å polarization degree derived from the Stokes profiles extracted from the pixels along the colored cross-sections shown in Figs. 1 and 2. The black line represents the red-wing intensity along each slit, the blue line represents the TCP, and the red line denotes the TLP along the same cut. Each line profile is normalized and offsets are given for ease of comparison.
