Taken from Koss et al. (2022). They classified the unbeamed AGN into three categories, Sy1, Sy1.9, and Sy2, based on the presence of the following in their optical spectra: 1) broad Hβ lines, 2) narrow Hβ but broad Hα, and 3) only narrow optical lines.
