Core separation of robustly detected components in the 3C 345 jet at 43 GHz. The model fits from this study and Weaver et al. (2022) are shown in the top panel. They are approximated by linear fits together to increase the robustness of the fits for the components identifiable across multiple frequencies. Fit results are given in Table A.3. Fermi/LAT γ-ray activity in weekly (red) and three-day (blue) binning are shown in the bottom panel. The ejection of Q21, Q2, and Q23 has a γ-ray counterpart in mid-2017, while the later activity cannot be identified with a clear-cut ejection event.
