Evolution in normalised column densities of OCN− (a) and CO2 (b), represented by filled red circles, as a function of increasing UV photon fluence on amorphous NH2CHO adsorbed on amorphous silicates. The normalisation factor is the column density of NH2CHO before UV irradiation. The IR absorption areas were determined through Gaussian fitting, with error bars representing one standard deviation. In cases where the error bars are not visible, they are within the size of the data points. These results are compared with the evolution data of OCN− and CO2, indicated by filled blue triangles, following UV irradiation of amorphous formamide on a clean CsI substrate (Suhasaria & Mennella 2022).
