Notes. The simulations sets with the -i suffix have the same velocity dispersion as the ones in Table 2, but the encounter happens in isolation (i.e. without the SMBH’s tidal field). For σ-ℳℬ the velocity dispersion is given by a Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution with σℳℬ = 50 km s−1 and the binaries are randomly oriented relative to the incoming single. The rows are the same as in Table 2.
