MagE spectrum of J0927−6335 shifted to rest wavelength and compared to our final model (red graph) with T_eff = 60 000 K, log 𝑔 = 7.0, C = 0.47, O = 0.48, and He = 0.05 (mass fractions). The observed spectrum is dominated by C III/CIV and O III/OIV lines. The absorption trough at 4620–4710 Å is similar to that seen in PG1159 stars, but there is no contribution of He II in the case of J0927−6335. Line labels including “no model” means that the respective lines are not computed in the synthetic spectrum. In particular, the broad absorption feature at 6560 Å is caused by C IV n = 8 – 12 transitions that are not included in our NLTE model atom.
