Sky distribution of objects in the VVV bulge area. Cyan open squares represent the position of the VVV tiles. Grey dots are the 2MXSC sources and points represent the 2MXSC sources within the VVV bulge (colour-coded according to their Ks extinction-corrected aperture magnitude). Open triangles represent extended objects that are not galaxies. In the top of the figure, we show three RGB (KsJZ) images of 2MXSC objects associated with Galactic objects and in the bottom we show three examples of 2MXSC galaxies.
