Notes. We require b0 and b1 to be positive, in order to obtain positive a, and to be increasing at low redshifts. We allow b2 to be negative, as it can both increase and decrease the bias evolution. The initial values are drawn uniformly from a range centred at the ‘middle point’ and bounded by plus and minus 20% of this value.
