GRAVITY flbered polarization rotator. The blue jackets are the fiber output and input. The loop of fiber goes through a hole at the top of the shaft, which defines the rotation axis. The rotation of the shaft is controlled by a stepper motor. The two mechanical end switches are visible at the bottom of the box. The torsion applied to the fiber by the rotation of the shaft generates a rotation of the polarization of the beam going through the fiber.
