Optical extinction in three different directions. Red: IC443. Green: G189.6+03.3. Blue: HII region S249. The dataset was obtained from the Gaw/2MASS extinction map available at https://astro,acri-st.fr/gaia_dev/. We also report the distance of 1.5 ± 0.2 pc adopted in the present paper (Fesen 1984; Welsh & Sallmen 2003).
