Computational time taken by the association step as a function of the nightly Solar System alert rate (average), for 16 consecutive nights of ZTF alert data. Various functions have been fitted to the data to give a hint on the run-time complexity of the algorithm described in Sect. 2.1, with the root mean square value displayed in the legend.
