Planetary polarized flux as a function of phase angle relative to the polarized flux of the dust at the wavelengths 550 nm, 2.22 µm, and 3.45 µm. Top: planetary atmosphere consisting of H2 and also Mg2SiO4 cloud particles with an effective radius of reff = 0.05 µm. The HEZD consists of dust grains with a radius of 0.02 µm. Bottom: same chemical composition but for an effective cloud particle radius of reff = 0.5 µm and the HEZD consists of dust grains with a radius of 0.71 µm. All other parameters for the planet and the HEZD are those of the reference model (Table 1). See Sect. 3.2.2 for details.
