Annealing time for amorphous ice Lal to reach different fractions of crystallisation, using the Kouchi et al. (1994) formalism that is based on kinetic theory of crystallisation. The shaded box shows the relevant time and temperate ranges for Euclid. The crystallisation speed can be greatly accelerated in the case of epitaxial growth on suitable substrates (Dohnálek et al. 2000).
