Profiles of the volume density ρBE (blue) and surface density σBE (red) of a critical Bonnor-Ebert sphere with an outer boundary at ΘBE = 11.9″ and a surface-density half maximum width HBE = 10″. For comparisons, the truncated ρBE continues at θ > ΘBE as ρ (cyan) and the resulting σ (magenta) corresponds to the outer boundary Θ = 64″ of the finite spherical models (Table 1). It can be easily estimated from the numerical data that the Bonnor-Ebert sphere has the power-law profiles ρ ∝ r−2.43 and σ ∝ 0−1.6 at the boundary Θ BE. For reference, the profile of model ƤA (black) is also shown.
