Profiles of the volume density ρ_BE (blue) and surface density σ_BE (red) of a critical Bonnor-Ebert sphere with an outer boundary at Θ_BE = 11.9″ and a surface-density half maximum width H_BE = 10″. For comparisons, the truncated ρ_BE continues at θ > Θ_BE as ρ (cyan) and the resulting σ (magenta) corresponds to the outer boundary Θ = 64″ of the finite spherical models (Table 1). It can be easily estimated from the numerical data that the Bonnor-Ebert sphere has the power-law profiles ρ ∝ r^−2.43 and σ ∝ 0^−1.6 at the boundary Θ _BE. For reference, the profile of model Ƥ_A (black) is also shown.
