Observed dipole field strengths of young stars with respect to stellar mass. Solid black circles show dipole field strengths inferred by the Stokes V parameter (B_V), open circles indicate an estimate based on the total field intensity (B_I) and a dipole field strength fraction of b_lsf = 22% (Lavail et al. 2019), and the black diamond indicates the dipole field strength of AU Mic, the only young star in our sample with direct measurement of B_QU. The errors are expected to reach up to one order of magnitude.
