Illustrating the influence of having one (top) or two (bottom) model intensity normalisations on peak intensity and velocity residuals extracted for the ¹²CO disc of AS 209. Although it is irrelevant for the retrieved kinematic signatures, we adopt the two-normalisation approach which aims to emulate absorption by foreground material occurring on the blueshifted side of the disc, allowing us to better capture fluctuations in the intensity field.
