Photodissociation timescale of H₂O. In the dust trap midplane the photodissociation timescale is long due to the shielding of UV radiation by dust. Above the dust trap, the photodissociation timescale is much shorter, from 10³ yr just above to trap to <100 yr above ~15 AU.
