Results of the MCMC posterior sampling of the model consisting of three polarized components, fitting two of them (the core and knot A of the M87 AGN+jet structure), for the real ALMA observations. The histogram shows the RM of the core, and the dotted line indicates the expected value, of ~1.5 × 105 rad m−2, from the image analysis (see Goddi et al. 2021; Albentosa-Ruiz 2021).
