Turbulence parameters αacc and αmix similar to Fig. 7, but for the superthermal-mass case with h = 0.05, Mp = 2.4Mth. The surface density snapshot of Fig. 8 is also shown on panel a, to highlight features present at different radii. The parameter αacc (panel b) is dominated by the planet’s spiral arms, but the VSI maintains a contribution in the inner disk (see also panel c). In the outer disk, VSI activity is weaker by 1–3 orders of magnitude compared to its fiducial value (see also panel d). A gray band marks the planet’s gap region, defined as Rp ± 2.5 RHill
