How the formation of iron planetesimals might work at the Curie line: chondritic matter drifts inward in protoplanetary disks. The iron is reduced to metallic iron at certain locations inside or outside of the Curie line. The Curie line separates magnetic aggregation from cluster dissolution. This provides two options for triggering iron-rich planetesimal formation.
